Editorial Policy

How SnoozeCalc selects topics, verifies claims, describes calculator limits, handles corrections, and separates commercial relationships from editorial decisions.

Effective July 22, 2026

Purpose and scope

SnoozeCalc publishes practical tools and educational material about sleep timing. We avoid unrelated health topics and do not create pages solely to capture search traffic.

Source standards

Health claims should rely first on government health agencies, professional medical organizations, peer-reviewed consensus material, systematic reviews, and established academic medical centers. Commercial sources may verify product specifications but are not treated as independent evidence for health claims.

Calculator transparency

The calculator's default cycle duration and sleep-latency setting are planning assumptions. Results must identify the estimated duration and must not be described as guaranteed, perfect, or medically optimal for every person.

Authors and reviewers

SnoozeCalc does not invent authors, experts, credentials, or medical reviewers. A medical-review label will appear only when a real qualified reviewer has evaluated and approved the content and their credentials can be verified.

Corrections and updates

Readers can report possible errors at contact@snoozecalc.com. Material corrections update the content record and modification date. Health guidance is reviewed when authoritative recommendations change and as part of scheduled maintenance.

Use of automation

Software may assist with formatting, quality checks, link validation, or drafting support. Published claims remain subject to source review, and no automated system is represented as a clinician or human expert.

Affiliate and advertising independence

Affiliate commissions and advertising do not determine health conclusions or calculator results. Commercial links must be disclosed and contextually relevant. No fake ratings, prices, urgency, or personal testing claims are permitted.
